Shadmehr Aghili Biography:

Shadmehr Aghili is a Persian musician, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Tehran in 27 January 1973 (7 Bahman 1351). He was familiar with several musical instruments & he learned playing when he was a child. Afterwards he went to conservatory and he learned scientifically. He was apple of his teachers’ eyes as an active & diligent student. He learned also musical instruments such as trumpet, piano, guitar, violin, santoor & etc. There he became skillful led in different type of instrument. Shadmehr about 10 years practiced traditional music & then about 5 years he tried to study classic music & at last with all his experience donate pop method. In 1997 he started his work in Iran’s radio & television organization & presented the nice & popular song that called Worshiped (Maebood) to his GOD. In his first official album, my spring (Bahare Man) that was new performance of old melody & songs, he was as a player & conductor that musicians & people complimented him. His first album Traveler (Mosafer) in 1998 was the most complete & qualified music collection after Islamic revolution. The fact everyone claimed those days. Easterly Melody (Naghmehaye Mashreghi) in 1999 was the performances of melodies that he composed for himself & the other artists. His second album Villager (Dehati) in 1999 was one of the best sellers in Iran through these years.
Mashghe sokoot in 2000 was the vocal less performance of songs from traveler’s album with a different arrangement. In 2000 he stared in Fly wing (Pare Parvaz) movie that was some how similar to his real life.
In 2001 its soundtrack cassette was released that included film music & songs that Shadmehr performed for that movie. Easterly melody (2002) also was new performance of Feryedoon Forooghi & Googoosh' songs, that Shadmehr appeared perfect again. Shadmehr, who was the famous among Iranian, in this year despite of hard efforts for justification of Adam & Eve (Adam va Hava) album, couldn’t get that & ministry of Guidance didn’t let him work. Although he didn’t like to go abroad decided to go & leave his country. He unfortunately immigrated to Toronto. At this time when Shadmehr left the country, Bear Night (Shabe Beharahne) a movie that he stared in was performed inland. Shadmehr be side composed and arranged the music for that.
After Shadmehr's immigration, his album, Adam & Eve (Adam va Havva) was released without his permission & brought many financial problems for him.
Shadmehr in his first album in the US made wonderful album that was called Never Mind (Khiyali Nist). Traitor (Adam Foroosh) was uproarious album that came to market in 2005 which was a unique experience that called Popcorn.
In October 2006, Shadmehr entered the United States to perform a U.S. tour with his first concert date scheduled for November 17, 2006 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. Shadmehr Aghili is now living with his wife, 'Mia(Mellisa) Mesa, in Los Angeles, California. Finally Rage Khaab (2005) was released in Iran. He is the first Iranian who used Mandolin in Iranian songs in (Mashkook) and (Yekari kon) singles in Causer (Sabab) album  . Destiny (Taghdir) is his last song of Shadmehr and it was the best song  in most Iranian music channel in top songs .He will release his new album after Norowz on 2009.

Shadmehr Aghili ( born 27 January 1973) is an Iranian pop singer, musician, composer, music arranger, producer and song-writer, and formerly an actor. Aghili was born in Tehran, Iran. He emigrated to Canada first, but currently resides in Los Angeles.^{[citation needed]}

Career

Aghili started early in music and studied piano, guitar and violin, graduated from the Tehran Conservatory of Music.

He has worked at the IRIB (the official broadcasting of Iran) for a while. He released his cassette album Bahar e Man (My Spring) in 1997, an instrumental music album where he played piano, guitar and violin. The album Fasl e Ashenayi (Season of Acquaintance) in 1998, was another great effort with a number of collaborations. The follow up Mosafer (Traveler) was also well received by the public. Aghili appeared also on screen with the movie Par e Parvaz (Wings to Fly), a best-seller in Iran for that year. He also wrote the soundtrack for the film. He had also a lead role in Shab-e Berahne (The Naked Night).

Aghili immigrated to Canada where he was signed to Nova Media. His first album in Canada was Khiali Nist (I Don't Care), quickly followed by Doori o Pashimani (Separation and Regret), Adam Foroush (Traitor) and Popcorn.

He released Taghdir (Fate), a highly praised^{[according to whom?]} album on a new contract with Century Records, in 2009. And in 2012, Tarafdaar (On Your Side) was released on Avang Music.

Shadmehr Aghili is a versatile artist, violinist and musician.Beside of his prominent use of piano, guitar and violin, he also plays santur,mandolin, trumpet, harmonica,keyboard, banjo, and kotoin some recordings. Shadmehr also remains active politically recording a track in 2010, conveying his support of the Iranian Green Movement recorded over background music, encouraging Iranian people to protest against their government and using music as a tool to get to freedom and liberty. And in 2012, in a collaboration with singer Ebi, he released the anti-war Royay e Ma (Globally released A Dream) in support of World Vision USA and World Vision Canada.
